Ferry boat + train ride WACHAUBAHN

Arriving with your own bus from the west (airport of Munich or Salzburg): Having left the A1 –Highway at Melk in the direction of Krems, you go to the village of Arnsdorf.

  • Crossing the river Danube by rope ferry from Arnsdorf to Spitz an der Donau

(a little boat trip, lasting about 15 minutes)

  • At the station of Spitz an der Donau, you take the Wachaubahn railway to Krems an der Donau

Departure from Spitz: 15:13 or 18:13
Arrival at Krems: 15:45 or 18:45

At Krems, your bus is awaiting the group – either to go on to Vienna or to visit Krems…

The price of this standard program, including the ferry boat and the train ride, is € 11,00 / person (incl. 10% VAT)

If you add this program to your bus ride to Vienna, you have to estimate about 1½ hours for this “detour”.

Of course, the above program can be extended, for instance by a wine-tasting session and/or a guided tour to the monastery of Dürnstein…
