Workshop with excursions

This is an examle for a 3 day workshop.

First day

Welcome in Dirndltal!
On the day of your arrival (Friday) we offer you lunch at Wild-Herbs Restaurant Steinschalerhof (cooperation partner). This restaurant is on the way to Nature Hotel Steinschaler Dörfl.

At Steinschalerhof many outside activities are possible. Take a lazy gardening tour through the “Steinschaler Natufacture” (Nature-Manufacturer – the large 30.000me garden). There is plenty to explore, see and tips to take away. Learn about how nature should regulate itself and “run” the garden within itself. Collect information and useful tips on how to reduce garden work, suitable for all garden sizes and types. Several edible wild herbs will be introduced to the participants. For lunch - the soup, main dish and even dessert will all contain wild herbs.

Duration is approx. 3 to 3,5 hours together extensions are possible - depending on additional wishes.

Second day

Seminar with frei time for activitis:
We suggest the following:

a) Wild Herb Team Cooking
The participants will get an introduction and be split into groups. Each group is responsible for one part of the lunch (choose from: starter, soup, salad, main dish, sides and so on) There will be to 10 groups which will prepare the wild herb lunch for everyone. Participants will be introduced to their duty station and guided by our chefs throughout the whole process. Duration: approximately 2,5 hours After cooking is the dinner

b) Jam Challenge (Marmalade-Challenge)
The group will be divided into subgroups. Each group will be provided a cooking station with assorted fruits, sugar, glasses, and stickers. All necessary supplies needed to produce your own jams and to prepare a presentation of your jam (brand name and logo etc.) will be at each workstation.

After all groups have finished, a jury (composed of management and/or one participant of each group) will rank the jam creations.

Evaluation of the jams will be on taste, creativity of name, presentation and the marketing idea behind the jam will all go into the evaluation.

This is a fun activity which combines creativity, marketing, teamwork and sales aspects!

Thrid Day

There is a wide range of cultural and natural excursions at your fingertips:
Climb up the surrounding mountains and enjoy the panoramic views of the valley below while having lunch. Or use our narrow gauge railway (Mariazellerbahn) for a couple stations and hike through our nature park “Ötscher”. It is also called the “Grand Canyon of Austria”. Enjoy stunning waterfalls up to 130m (436 ft!), wild rivers curving through the landscape (canyon) and enjoy a truly marvelous place.

The Ötscher Canyon has been awarded as one of the nine nature jewels of Austria.

For both activities participants need to wear sport/tennis shoes.
